Loki - Prince of Asgard, God of Mischief

Hello readers.

I think it would be not a wrong guess when I say more than half the world has watched and loved the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Black Widow, Hawkeye, etc., we all have our favorite heroes and villains. On top of all these amazing movies and series, Marvel had decided on a Phase: 4 of the Universe, with several new shows and movies for the rest of the marvel characters, who survived the Endgame. We saw Wanda Vision and, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, the next in line is Loki. The god of Mischief is getting his own series as well!

To sum up the story of Loki in the MCU so far, he was first introduced in Thor (2011). He is “the prince of Asgard, the rightful king of Jotunheim, the God of Mischief”. Played by Tom Hiddleston, Loki is always seen as the villain in the Marvel Universe. Even when he played the supporting hero sometimes to Thor, he ended up revealing his evil intentions every time, which led to him becoming a villain in every movie he appeared in. Whether it is stealing the tesseract, taking the throne of Asgard, attacking Jotunheim, putting Thor in exile or faking his death(many times!) Loki has done all of this and much more.

Loki got his own series, which was confirmed in September 2018, the events of which take place after the Avengers: Endgame where an alternate version of Loki creates an alternate timeline for himself. The storyline of the show is that after stealing the tesseract in Endgame, he ends up in an alternate timeline, where ends up in his own crime thriller, when he is caught by the Time Variance Authority. TVA gives him a choice of being erased from existence, as he was a “time variant” or help in fixing the timeline to stop a greater threat.

The show Loki has 6 episodes in its first season, scheduled to premiere on June 9, 2021. Part of the phase: 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the second season of Loki is in development.

I personally have always loved every appearance of Loki because, well, Tom Hiddleston. I will be posting regular updates with teasers, trailers, news and episode wise reviews of the show.

Do you think Loki is underrated? Let me know in the comments below.
